CONCENTRATED PRODUCT
Powerful stabilised hypochlorite solution, containing a minimum of 55%
available chlorine (550,000 ppm), it is highly effective in killing germs and
bacteria whilst destroying odours from decomposing organic matter and food
debris.
MULTI USES
STV-55 finds many applications in the food industry where its anti-bacterial
properties are used to ensure effective maintenance of hygiene standards.
WHERE TO USE
Disinfecting & Deodorising
Vegetables, offal, food production areas, sausage skins, drains, and refuse areas.
Controls Growth of Algae and bacteria
In static water systems and to condition the water in industrial processors and swimming pools.
DILUTION RATES
For general use, such as cleaning floors and walls, dilute with 1:900 - 1,800 with water.
For heavy duty such as disinfecting drains and sinks, dilute with up to 450 parts water.
For treating static water systems dose at 120 ppm STV-55.
For sterilising vegetables and offal, dose at 100 ppm available chlorine, renew solution when strength falls
below 60 ppm available chlorine.
Hypochlorite solutions react rapidly and have a very short bath life, therefore always prepare fresh
solutions for each operation.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply by mop, swab, low pressure non-misting  spray or soaking techniques.

FIRST AID
MEASURES
EYES
Immediately flush with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes.  If irritation persists, seek medical attention
SKIN
Promptly wash with soap and water while removing any contaminated clothing (wash clothing before re-use)

INGESTION
Move to fresh air.  If irritation persists, seek medical attention
5.
FIRE HAZARD &
FIRE FIGHTING
PROCEDURES
SPECIAL FIRE OR EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Product is not flammable itself, but contact with combustible material may cause fire.  Product
combustible if dehydrated by drying.  Decomposes above 250
o
C with release of Chlorine and other toxic fumes.  A thermal decomposition can be
extinguished by flooding with copious amounts of water or by isolating the decomposing material in open air and allowing it to be consumed.  Use
self-contained breathing apparatus and goggles.  Do not approach from the leeward (downwind).  EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Pressurised water
or dry powder.  DO NOT USE: dry fire extinguishers containing Ammonium compounds.  FIRE FIGHTING: Remove the product if it safe to do
so, before suing water for fire fighting in order to minimize the hazards from release of toxic fumes.  It will often be safer to let the fire burn itself
out.  Where it is decided to fight the fire with water, large quantities must be used.  If sufficient water is used there may be an explosion hazard
associated with hot damp material.
6.
ACCIDENTAL
RELEASE MEASURES
(See section 8 for personal protection) Any spillages should be cleaned up as soon as possible to prevent contamination with foreign materials
with which it may react.  (See section 10). Handle spillage carefully. Do not return spilled material to original container.  Where possible and
suitable, use material as originally intended. Wash away any residues with copious amounts of water.  Avoid breathing fumes. Wash away residues
with copious amount of waster.  Cover with sand or earth.  Pick up and hold for waste disposal.  Wash away residues with copious amounts of
water.
7.
HANDLING AND
STORAGE
STORAGE: Store away from all incompatibles & combustibles (See 10) in cool, dry, well ventilated place. Moisture sensitive.  Avoid high humid-
ity levels. Do not allow water to get into container.  Keep container tightly closed and away from fire, heat, flame and direct sunlight. Keep out of
reach of children. Never shore or damp contaminated material.
HANDLING: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.  Avoid breathing dust.  Wash thoroughly after handling.  See section 8. Do not eat, drink
or smoke when handling this material.
8.
EXPOSURE CON-
TROLS AND PER-
SONAL PROTECTION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
Control airborne dust (e.g. from handling large quantities) with ventilation or wear an approved respirator
VENTILATION
Ensure adequate ventilation. Use local exhaust ventilation when handling large quantities
EYE PROTECTION
Wash eyes with clean water. Wear goggles where there is potential for eye contact
SKIN PROTECTION
After any skin contact wash immediately & thoroughly with soap and water. Remove and wash contaminated
clothing and clean up equipment before re-use. Wear Rubber/PVC gloves if appropriate

Contact with water liberates chlorine and with nitrogen compounds may cause explosion.  Avoid organic
materials, oils, grease, sawdust, reducing agents, nitrogen contained compounds, calcium hypochlorite, other
oxidisers, acids, alkalis, cationic and certain non-ionic surfactants.
