Non-Metabolisable
Water Soluble, Non-toxic with Good Foam Knockdown
High Anti-foam Efficiency & Long Term Foam Inhibition
Odourless & Tasteless
Effective at Temperatures up to 100*C
Defoam is a general purpose silicone which functions effectively both as a de-foamer and anti-foaming
agent, is effective in hot or cold aqueous systems.
Economical in use and can be used either as supplied or diluted with water to the desired concentration.
RAPID DISPERSION
Defoam has been specially designed to disperse readily in aqueous systems and can be added either
before or after foaming has started, depending upon the characteristics of the system, i.e. temperature,
degree of agitation, composition etc.
TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Defoam meets EPA (USA), FDA (USA), and DEFRA requirements.
METHOD OF USE
Photographic Processing E6 - Nitrogen Systems
Paint the sides of the tank with a thin solution of Defoam above the level of processing solutions.
Do not splash or drip Defoam into the processing solutions. It can cause grease spots on transparencies.
Defoam can be employed in aqueous medium, neat or diluted with cold water, but if diluted it should then
be used within 24 hours.  It can be added to the foaming medium on a continuous basis using a metering
pump or similar type of equipment, or on demand, i.e. where and when required.
It is, however, recommend that Defoam is added as received the recommended starting concentration is
100 ppm.
